Jika Tabi Shoe Size Chart

In 2006 Aaron Bramson began Jika Tabi, Inc. as a way to spread the word about these traditional Japanese shoes. The original Jika Tabi were Japanese worker boots. Since 1912 they have been worn by farmers, construction workers , road workers and many others whose situations demanded foot comfort throughout the day.

The sole of traditional jika-tabi are made of pliable natural rubber. This material is soft enough to be flexible, but stiff enough to protect the wearer's foot from ground debris.  The rest of the shoe is constructed entirely of lightweight and breathable cotton except in a few cases. The most unique feature of jika-tabi is the split-toe design that separates the big toe from the other toes almost making it a foot mitten. This feature enhances their comfort and stability.
