Dansko was started by a husband & wife team, Peter Kjellerup and Mandy Cabot, who went to Denmark on a horse buying trip. While in Denmark, the husband and wife team found the perfect clog, after that they begin to share these new found shoes with with their friends. A year later, in 1991, a footwear company was born. Dansko shoes, through their solid materials and construction, promotes good health -- foot,leg, and back. Today, Dansko produces more than clogs, they also design heels, boots, sandals, and healthcare apparel.
