Daniel Green Shoe Size Chart

In 1881 Daniel Green was a young shoe salesman for the Wallace Ellicott Company in New York City. On one of his rounds to Doigeville, NY he discovered shown a pair of felt shoes that were made from scrapes of felt from a piano maker. Many of the factory workers wore these to keep their feet warm in the factory during the colder months. This was the beginning of the Daniel Green slipper.

However, men needed slippers that could be worn inside as well as outside. In 1804 L. B. Evans of present day Wakefield, MA was running a small show business as well as a general store. Generation after generation kept up the family business. Today L. B. Evans, Inc. is an owned and operated division of Danial Green dedicated to traditional men’s slipper styles but has expanded to include new updated classics, premium products including elk and deer, and a collection of rugged, warm outdoor styles.
